According to leaker Roland Quandt’s posts on European retailer prices, Samsung may be charging more for the upcoming Galaxy S23 than the Galaxy S22 in some European regions.
Prices in Europe
According to Samsung’s Spanish website, the starting price of the Galaxy S23 in Spain will be €959 for the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Ultra version (12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage) will be priced at €1,589. This represents a significant increase in cost compared to the S22, which had prices of €859 and €1,459, respectively, for similar models.
In the Czech Republic, the base S23 is expected to cost 1,500 Czech Koruna more than its predecessor, according to Quandt’s numbers. The prices are also reported to be similar in Germany. 9to5Google stated that the phones might also be more expensive in Australia by AUS $100.
Prices in the US and Other Countries
The S23 lineup is expected to have the same starting prices as the current models. $799 for the regular S23. $999 for the S23 Plus. $1,199 for the S23 Ultra. Samsung may be trying to avoid losing customers to Apple, which kept the prices for the iPhone 14 the same in the US, despite raising them in other countries.
