After All rumors, OnePlus is officially confirmed they are working on Smartwatch. But the official leaks suggest they are not going to use Wear OS to give better battery life, and It will have all features that other companies’ Smart Watch have. The main issue with the SMartwatch compare with the fitness and is the battery backup. We can’t expect weeks of battery life in Smartwatch. But the new OnePlus Watch is Officially launched with Two Week Battery Life for $159. Everything the Smartwatch features and the price is also low compare with other devices.
For quite a long time now, we’ve heard various news about the first-ever OnePlus smartwatch. Well, it has finally launched, and it came with 2-week long battery life. Oneplus launched the smartwatch alongside the OnePlus 9 series on March 23. The devices – both the watch and smartphones – are all looking great with decent specs (much of what we all anticipated). Our focus here is the smartwatch, which is starting at $159.

The first impression, the watch looks like an ordinary watch built into a 46mm case. The top is designed with a 2.5D curved glass that blends perfectly with the casing. There are different editions (colors) available. You get to find two buttons on the side (one has the OnePlus logo on it).
The display is a 1.39-inch OLED panel at 326ppi, with sapphire 2.5D glass. Furthermore, the silicon band on the classic edition is easily replaceable, so you can get bands that match your outfits. OnePlus Smartwatch supports the brand’s Warp Charge technology; it charges in just 20 minutes and lasts for more than a week for heavier users. Basically, OnePlus tips that the battery could last for up to two weeks on standard usage.

No Wear OS
As mentioned in our previous posts about the leaked features and specs of this watch, it did come with a unique operating system – ditching Google’s Wear OS. The custom software introduces many impressive features such as on-watch phone calls, notification mirroring and responding, and local music playback to Bluetooth earbuds. The smartwatch can easily connect to OnePlus TVs as function as a remote controller; it’d automatically lower the volume of your OnePlus TV when you’re on a call, and It will turn off the TV when it detects that you’ve fallen asleep. But for the OnePlus TV, the OnePlus uses Android TV OS.
Also, over 50 watch faces to choose from, and the watch is actually customizable (to a certain extent).
Price and Available Colors
The regular US region and International price of the OnePlus Smartwatch are $159. Usually, Most of the OnePlus device prices will fall in India compare with other countries. But For OnePlus Watch is priced at INR 14,999, which roughly converts to $206. UK area price is £149, which roughly converts to $204.
OnePlus Smartwatch is available in Midnight Black, Moonlight Silver Colors.
Wrap Up
OnePlus announced that it would release a cobalt edition that’d be twice as tough as the already launched classic editing with steel casing. At the moment, the OnePlus Smartwatch does not support third-party apps with RTOS.
Although launched, the OnePlus Smartwatch will be available on sale (on the OnePlus official store) starting from April 14, 2020. The launch price is $159, and the company did not mention the price for its upcoming Cobalt edition, which would serve as the premium edition, offering tougher casing.
