Every Digital channel which is the owner of the bunch series begins to start their OTT platforms. Instead of selling the series or movies to existing platforms like Netflix, everybody wants to sign up for their new platform. HBO Max has their list of TV series and Movies. HBO Max does not fall directly under Warner Bros. But it has a link through AT&T. They act as a wonder of HBO Max. So, You can view all of the Warner Bros movies, including DC movies. But HBO max only available in few regions. It is not widely available in all countries. Now HBO Max is planning to increase its service to Latin America and Caribbean Countries from June 2021.
It won’t be long after now, and HBO Max will launch in Latin America and the Caribbean counties. The launch is scheduled for late June 2021 – up to 39 new territories in Latin America, and the Caribbean will be able to access HBO Max. The service is expected to extend to Europe later this year, 2021, but there hasn’t been news about a launch in Canada; maybe, that’s not happening soon.
What is HBO Max?
Offered by Warner Media, HBO Max is a direct-to-consumer streaming service that provides its users with a variety of originals and serials of exciting digital content; it is a platform that streams digital content for all ages like Netflix. Before the news broke out earlier this month, February 2021, HBO Max has only been available in select American countries.
Now, the company is looking to expand its consumer base, and it’s starting with a launch in 39 new territories across Latin America and the Caribbean countries.
Available Countries
This upcoming launch means HBO Max would now be available in the following countries and regions:
Aruba, Anguilla, Argentina, Antigua, B.V.I., Barbados, Bahamas, Bolivia, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Curacao, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Dominica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Grenada, Guyana, Honduras, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Turks and Caicos, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
HBO Max coming to Latin America and Caribbean Countries
According to Johannes Larcher, Head of HBO Max International, he said, “We are thrilled for the launch of HBO Max in Latin America and the Caribbean, which is the first step in bringing WarnerMedia’s Direct-to-Consumer service to consumers outside of the U.S., and around the world.”
At launch, existing HBO GO subscribers will get instant access to HBO Max as HBO GO in Latin America and the Caribbean will be phased out. The subscribers would get HBO Max via all-new apps and subscription plans.
HBO Max in Latin America and the Caribbean would offer new features expected to improve users’ experience and make streaming more fun for everyone.
Supporting Devices and Available Series
HBO Max would be available across most of the devices, including Windows, Android smartphones, tablets, iPhones, iPad, etc. The platform would provide access to Warner Media’s longtime classics and originals for all ages. Max would provide massive collections from Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes Cartoons, HBO, New Line, Warner Bros, CNN, DC, TNT, and more.
There would be local original titles available on HBO Max for Latin American and the Caribbean users. HBO said that its consumers would enjoy series and movies created by the best storytellers worldwide on its Max platform.
After the launch in Latin America and the Caribbean, HBO Max is alleged to launch in Europe, specifically the Nordics, Central Europe, Spain, and Portugal, later in the year.
Subscription Plans
HBO Max costs $14.99 per month in the U.S. However, the launch in Latin America and the Caribbean comes with new subscription plans and pricing.
