There are a lot of predictions are going for the Android Q Name. Not really has it been long the Android Q beta was released, a lot of stories have been told about the OS version. This beta version does hint about a lot of new unique features which Android users would love to explore. However, no one seems to know the name of this OS version yet; Android 9.0 was codenamed Pie, 8.0 was Oreo, 7.0 was Nougat, and so do the older ones have a name too. But in the case of Android 10.0, what could be its name?
Already, we know the name for this OS version will start with letter “Q,” but what would be the full name? As seen in older Android versions, Google names its OS version after sweet foods/deserts. The previous Google Android OS versions were named after sweet things. Thus, we have stuff like Android Cupcake, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, and Pie. Following this gesture, what could be the sweet food/dessert that starts with “Q?”
What can be the Names, If they Choose Foods
There are no much sweet things we know to start with this letter. However, a lot of people has made their suggestions. The few sweet desserts that begin with “Q” originate outside the US, and they likely lack the level of familiarity Google looks out for. The name suggestions for Android “Q” (10.0) If they choose the food are;
-
Qurabiya
-
Quindim
-
Queen of Puddings
-
Qottab
-
Quesito
-
Queijadinha
-
Quirks
-
Quesadilla
-
Quinoa
-
Quark
-
Quiche
-
Queso
In these name suggestions, only two names seem more likely to be used for the upcoming Android “Q.” If we should judge based on how Google named the previous versions, then, Android Q will be codenamed “Quindim.” This dessert originates from Brazil. It is made from coconut, sugar, and eggs.
Nevertheless, if Google should name the Android “Q” after a tasty food, the most likely name for this version will be “Quiche.” It looked like a Pie. So, Google can reject this name. But, If they consider Next version can seem like a Pie, they may choose this. Especially Google always picks a famous food name. The Q names are bit complicated. So, they may change to other unique names that are not food.
Why there is a chance of a new set of names
Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL Code names are “Coral” and “flame.” Google has a habit of naming their mobiles as a Sea creatures name. But, they break the rule by naming Pixel 4 XL as “flame.” So, there may be a chance of Naming Android Q 10 Version as different names, other than foods. Maybe “Quartz” like that.
Some Important Features in Android Q
The on-screen recording will be available by default on Android Q
Some people download third-party apps to be able to record activities on their screens. The upcoming Android 10.0 will come with an inbuilt feature that will allow Android users to record their device screen without using 3rd party apps. We already discussed why Third party apps are not suitable for your phone. If you download other than Play Store.
When will the stable version launch
Already, some Google Pixels users are already flexing the beta version of this app which was released not so long ago. Google plans on launching Pixel 4 and 4XL sometimes in October 2019, and definitely, this device will feature the stable version of this OS. Thus, the Android Q (10.0) is expected to launch in September before the Google Pixel 4 and 4XL flagship devices.
It will be available for compatible Android devices via OTA when it is finally launched. We’ll keep you updates about this OS version.
Final Words
If you want to try beta versions, you can Opt-in for this feature. If you’re going to downgrade, you can easily opt-out. There are a lot of rumors are going on predicting this name. But, Google can break their habit in Android Q. They bring a lot of features compared with previous versions. Yes, Lot. Android 10 will be a Major upgrade in Android History. Hope the name also make a Fire in this Version. If you have any other name suggestion comment below..:)
